This home at 7216 Davis Ct in McLean, VA, was built from a collaborative relationship between a client and their architect. When clients with a passion and deep appreciation for modern design and a clear vision for their dream home project approached Zee Design | Architecture + Interior Design, a comprehensive design plan was born.
Zee Design | Architecture + Interior Design is based out of Vienna, VA, and serves as an all-inclusive destination for home build projects, with a dedicated team of architect designers, interior designers, and builders. They work closely with each client to understand their unique vision and preferences, tailoring the details of the home to fit their client's lifestyle and aspirations. Says founder Zahraa Alwash, "What our client wanted for this project was a dichotomy, an imposing and exclusive exterior but an inviting and open interior. What resulted was this beautiful build."
The finished home harmoniously unites the necessity for privacy at the front, yet remains open throughout the interior and expands outwardly into the private exterior space. Wooden slats over exterior windows exude a sense of mystery, while a specially made 10-foot steel, pivot door reveals an inviting light-filled interior. The experience from the main living volume is spectacular. An eye-catching staircase, specially manufactured by Gutierrez Studios, serves as a central vertical anchor while two sections of ten-foot-tall sliding glass walls open to the pool deck and outdoor kitchen, gazing across the reflections of the swimming pool.
The entire home has luxurious suites on each level and resident amenities, including a private fitness center and home theater. It is beyond impressive to admire the careful attention to the total home, from its warm contemporary materials to the ultra-premium fixtures, finished with an interior design scheme of minimal items with the highest impact of color and personality.
